I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.

我 知 道 世 人 、 莫 強 如 終 身 喜 樂 行 善 。

And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

並 且 人 人 喫 喝 、 在 他 一 切 勞 碌 中 享 福 ． 這 也 是 神 的 恩 賜 。

The ability to rejoice and enjoy life is one of God’s most excellent gifts to us, although we can abuse it. God wants us to enjoy life in the present.

When we have the proper view of God, we discover that real pleasure is found not in what we accumulate, but in enjoying whatever we have as gifts from God.
