It is my prayer to God to help me set a godly example as a Christian, especially to my children.
I am learning about the 6 Cs summarizing the power of God’s Word, as below :
Conviction of Sin
God’s Word convinces us of our sin against Him. Acts 2:37-39 – “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar of, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
Conversion of Souls
New birth comes from the Word of God. 1 Peter 1:23 – “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”
Cleansing of Our Hearts
Our hearts are cleansed by the blood of Christ through His precious Word given to us. John 15:3 – “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.” 2 Corinthians 7:1 – “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
Confirmation of Our Faith
The assurance of our faith comes from God’s Word. 1 John 5:13 – “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” Romans 10:17 – “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Comfort of Our Hearts
Our Lord will comfort us through His Word when we diligently open our ears and heart to His voice. 1 Thessalonians 4:18 – “wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
I continue to study and meditate these God’s Word diligently. Let us have the Courage to Share God’s Word during this Christmas. Amen.
